Foreclosure Prevention & Predatory Lending Resources
Since 2007, UEDA has been working collaboratively
with a group of professionals, organizations and government
entities representing the housing sector to address the many
issues affecting homeowners and neighborhoods as a result of the
current financial crisis. In September 2008, UEDA participated
in the Milwaukee Foreclosure Partnership Initiative, by chairing
the Prevention work group and developing a set of
recommendations to help mitigate the future impact of
foreclosures.
Current approaches and initiatives underway to address the
crisis include consumer & homeowner outreach and education,
promoting the work of nonprofit housing counseling agencies and
working with lenders and financial institutions.
Listed below are resources that you and/or your organization can
use to assist those in trouble. These RESOURCE FLYERS contain
information on the reputable sources of help for homeowners and
consumers, and were compiled by UEDA and other partners.
