Carnival Milwaukee a huge success!  Once again, about 225 people joined UEDA on the last Saturday in February for our annual fundraiser, which featured 26 local food vendors and live entertainment by De La Buena.  One of our guests wrote a column in The Capital Times that captures the purpose and what we at UEDA had hoped people would experience at Carnival - Link to the article here: Carnival shows Milwaukee’s gathering steam

 11th Annual Community Development Summit - November 8, 2012

This year's Summit featured a unique format that explored the challenges and collaborative opportunities available in the areas of workforce development, entrepreneurship and business growth.  Program Booklet

• ManpowerGroup Chairman & CEO Jeff Joerres and City of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett opened the Summit and nearly 170 attendees listened in on "fishbowl" conversations that featured leaders from some of the region's most notable employers, educational institutions, workforce development agencies, local chambers, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs.  
• Carol Coletta, Director of ArtPlace, talked about how cities can leverage their ability to genearte, orginate, produce and reproduce to attract talent and business to achive economic growth.
• Attendees provided feedback and identified strategies to bring the region together and work collaboratively on how to drive hiring and support business growth.

UEDA Annual Meeting – August 9, 2012
Thanks to UEDA Members and Partners for joining us at our Annual Meeting! We not only celebrated UEDA’s work over the past year, but also recognized and presented an award to Will Allen of Growing Power, Inc. Carnival Milwaukee:  February 25, 2012
Thanks to all our guests, friends & supporters for making the 2012 Carnival Milwaukee our best yet!
